The Vanishing Village – Part 3 At sunrise, the rescue team followed the fresh footprints left behind by the missing explorers. The tracks led deep into the forest, where the trees grew so thick that even daylight could barely pass through. For nearly an hour, they walked in silence until they reached a clearing no map had ever shown. In the center stood an ancient stone well, covered in vines and symbols carved so deep they looked almost fresh. Around it were hundreds of footprints. All of them stopped at the edge. No tracks led away. One of the rescuers leaned over and shone a flashlight inside. At first, there was only darkness. Then… movement. Far below, dozens of pale faces stared back up from the bottom. Their eyes were black. Their mouths slowly opened together. And in a single whisper, they said, “The moon rises again tonight.” Suddenly, the forest went silent.
