POV: You told your barber “just a little off the top” 😭✂️ So I walk into the barbershop feeling confident… I even practiced what I was gonna say in the mirror like it’s a job interview. I sit down and go, “Yeah bro, just a little trim. Keep it natural.” He nods. Too confidently. 🚩 First snip… I feel a breeze I’ve NEVER felt before. I look at the cape like… why is my entire childhood on the floor?? Then he spins the chair around halfway to show me the back… WHY IS MY NECK INTRODUCED TO THE WORLD?? 😭 At this point I’m sweating but I’m like, “Yeah… that’s cool.” (IT WAS NOT COOL.) Man keeps going. Line-up sharper than my future, but my hairline pushed back to 2007. I leave the shop… wind hitting parts of my head that haven’t seen sunlight since middle school. My homie sees me and goes, “Yo… you joining the military or you lost a bet?” Even my phone didn’t recognize me. Face ID said: “Try again.” I got home and my mom hit me with: “Mijo… why you look like a peeled onion?” 🧅😭 Moral of the story: If your barber says “trust me”… start praying. 🙏
