The Mirror's Grin
Description
Script Vidéo
The lights went out at exactly 2:17 a.m. At first, I thought it was just load shedding. I reached for my phone, turned on the flashlight, and looked around my room. Everything seemed normalâexcept the mirror. It was facing my bed. I was sure I had turned it toward the wall before sleeping. Trying to ignore it, I lay back down. Thatâs when I heard it. A soft knock. From inside the mirror. I froze. Another knock. This time louder. Then a whisper, faint but clear: âLet me outâŠâ My heart started pounding. I slowly turned my head toward the mirror. In the dim light, I saw my reflectionâ âbut it wasnât copying me. It was smiling. I wasnât. The knocking became frantic. The âthingâ in the mirror started banging, its grin stretching wider, eyes hollow and desperate. âPlease⊠switch places with me,â it begged. I shut my eyes tight. When I opened them again, the room was silent. The mirror was back against the wall. Relieved, I grabbed my phone to check the time. 2:17 a.m. Then my phone screen lit upâ and I saw myself staring back⊠smiling.
