Did you know that in some places, people say your shadow doesn’t always belong to you? They call it “the still shadow.” It happened to a girl walking home alone one evening. The sun was low, casting long shadows across the empty road. At first, everything felt normal… until she noticed something strange. Her shadow… wasn’t matching her steps. When she slowed down, it kept moving. Just slightly… dragging behind her. She stopped completely. But her shadow took one more step. Thinking it was her imagination, she turned around to check the light— but nothing was there. No one. No cars. No movement. Just silence. That’s when her shadow… raised its arm. Slowly… waving at something behind her. She didn’t turn around. She just ran. When she got home, she told her mother, who went completely pale. She said, “If your shadow moves on its own… it means something has already noticed you.” The next day, the girl refused to go outside. But that night, under her bedroom door… her shadow was still there. Moving. Even though the lights were off.
