The Great Betrayal and Vhir's Warning
Description
Script Vidéo
The crystal has cracked, and the light you think you see is nothing but a lure. My name is **Vhir**. I am Gelfling—perhaps the last heartbeat of a world that was once green and screaming with life. You walk through these woods as if they belong to you, but you are walking over the dust of my ancestors. We did not simply fade; we were harvested like grain. Listen closely, for this is the truth of the **Skeksis**, and why you should fear the shadows of the castle: ### The Great Betrayal They came as gods. They promised us eternity, and we, in our youthful vanity, gave them our trust. But they did not want our friendship; they wanted our **essence**. I watched as they took my kin—my sisters, my brothers—and strapped them into chairs of cold, jagged stone. * **The Drain:** I have heard the sound of a soul being pulled from a body. It is a dry, rattling shriek that never truly ends. * **The Husks:** Those who survived the draining were not lucky. They became the *Vliyaya*—empty shells, mindless slaves with milky eyes, forced to serve the very monsters that drank their lives. ### The Lords of Decay The Skeksis are not just cruel; they are a rot that walks. They smell of old blood and expensive perfumes, a stench meant to hide the fact that they are falling apart. They wiped us out not because we were a threat, but because they were **afraid of death**. To stay young, they ground my species into a liquid light and swallowed us whole. ### Vhir’s Warning Do not be fooled by the silence of the forest. The Skeksis have eyes everywhere—their **Garthim** are clicking in the dark, and their **Crystal Bat** spies are circling above. "If you see a tall, hunched shadow with robes of rotting silk, do not run. Running only makes the hunt more enjoyable for them. Hide. Melt into the stone. Pray the Thra consumes you before they do." The Gelfling are gone. We are stories told by ghosts. And if you remain in these lands, you will not find a grave; you will only find the **Great Crystal**, waiting to drink what is left of you. **Always remember: The lords are hungry, and the sun is setting forever.**
