He was staying in a quiet village, far from the city. Late one night, he woke to a distant صوت. Soft. Echoing. It sounded like the call to prayer. But something felt off. The timing was wrong. The tone… slightly distorted. Curious, he stepped outside. The village was silent. Everyone asleep. But the sound continued. Drifting through the darkness. He followed it. Through empty streets. Past the last row of houses. Until he reached the edge of the village. There, in the distance, stood an old abandoned building. The voice was coming from inside. Now louder. Clearer. But as he got closer… he realized something. It wasn’t reciting anything sacred. It had changed. The words were slower. More deliberate. And then he heard it clearly. It was calling his name. Over and over again. From inside the building. He froze. The voice stopped. Silence filled the air. Then, from right behind him… the same voice whispered again. Perfectly clear. Perfectly close.
