The Mysterious Kunauna: A Summer Legend from Japan
Description
Script Vidéo
Did you know that in Japan there's a figure people claim to see on hot summer days? Something they call the kunauna, which translates as waving. It happened to a boy visiting his grandparents in the countryside. One afternoon while playing near the rice fields, he saw something strange in the distance. A tall white figure swaying back and forth like it was caught in a breeze. But the air was completely still. He thought it might be a scarecrow, but it moved too smoothly, too unnaturally. Curious, he pointed it out to his older brother, who grabbed a pair of binoculars and took a closer look. The moment he did, his expression changed. He went silent, and by the time they got back to the house, he was laughing to himself, muttering words that didn't make sense. Their grandfather, hearing the story, froze. He told them, "Never look directly at the kunune." Watching it from afar is harmless, but trying to understand what it really is… that's what breaks something inside you. A few days later, the older boy—the one who first saw it— went missing. Since then, no one has ever been able to find him.
