This is a strange true story. In the early 1970s, people in a small town kept reporting the same thing. A public phone booth… that called them back. At first, it sounded impossible. You’d make a call… hang up… start walking away… and suddenly the phone behind you would start ringing. When people answered it, the line was never silent. Sometimes they heard heavy breathing. Sometimes… just a faint voice whispering their name. Technicians inspected the booth multiple times. But according to the records, the line could not receive calls at all. No incoming connection. No wiring for it. Still… the phone kept ringing. Late at night, nearby shop owners said they saw the booth light up… even when no one was inside. One night a man answered the ringing phone. He later told police the voice on the other side said one sentence. “Don’t hang up next time.” The phone booth was removed the next week. But locals say… late at night… they still hear a phone ringing there.
