In the United States, hidden deep in the forests of West Virginia, there’s an abandoned tunnel people refuse to enter after midnight. They call the creature living there… The Smiling Man. In 1986, drivers traveling the empty road reported seeing a tall man standing perfectly still near the tunnel entrance. He wore a black suit, pale gloves… and a massive unnatural smile stretched across his face. One night, a woman stopped after seeing him waving in the road. The man slowly walked toward her car… smiling wider with every step. Then he whispered: “You saw me.” Her engine suddenly died. The lights flickered. And when they came back on… He was standing beside her window. Police investigated the tunnel the next morning, but found only muddy footprints leading into the darkness… and stopping suddenly, as if the thing vanished. Now locals warn everyone to stay away after dark. Because if you ever hear slow laughter echoing through the tunnel… Don’t look behind you. The Smiling Man hates being watched.
