Did you know in 1962 a hotel in Nevada locked one room forever and guests still claim they hear a phone ringing inside it? in 1962 a traveling salesman checked into a small hotel in Nevada and asked for room 214 the receptionist warned him never answer the room phone after midnight he laughed took the key and went upstairs anyway around 12:13 a.m. the phone beside his bed suddenly rang when he answered all he heard was heavy breathing and a woman whispering don't let him in seconds later someone started knocking on the door slowly three times the salesman looked through the peephole but the hallway was completely empty then the knocking started again this time from inside the closet terrified he grabbed his suitcase and ran to the lobby but when he told the receptionist she turned pale because room 214 had no phone connected for over 10 years police searched the room and found nothing except an old unplugged telephone sitting on the floor after that night multiple guests reported hearing the same late night ringing one woman claimed the voice on the phone whispered her full name before the line went dead eventually the hotel sealed room 214 shut permanently but employees still say that every single night at exactly 12:13 they hear a phone ringing behind the walls
