Adem Jashari was one of the founders of the Kosovo Liberation Army and a key figure in the fight for the independence of Kosovo. He lived in Prekaz, where he and his family were known for their resistance against Serbian forces. In March 1998, Serbian forces attacked his home in Prekaz. Adem Jashari, along with members of his family, fought back and refused to surrender. The fighting lasted for several days. In the end, Adem Jashari and most of his family were killed during the attack. His death made him a symbol of resistance and sacrifice for Kosovo’s freedom.
