The Town Where Death is Forbidden
Description
Script Vidéo
Have you ever heard of the town where nobody was allowed to die? In 1950, a tiny town in Norway faced a strange problem. People noticed that bodies buried there weren't decomposing. Scientists eventually discovered why. The ground was so cold that bacteria couldn't survive. Even decades later, viruses and microbes remained trapped in frozen graves. That's when the town made an unusual rule. If someone became seriously ill, they were often moved away before their final days. Locals feared that dangerous diseases frozen in the soil could one day return. Then researchers tested some of the old burial sites. What they found shocked everyone. Fragments of deadly viruses were still preserved after more than 80 years. Today, the town still has very strict burial policies. And some scientists believe the deeper the ice melts... the more secrets the frozen ground might reveal.
