The Midnight Knocks
Description
Script Vidéo
Create a **45–60 second psychological horror story** set in a **small, isolated village in rural India**. The story should feel like a local legend passed down through generations rather than a typical ghost story. Build suspense with a slow, unsettling atmosphere instead of relying on gore or jump scares. The central figure is a **mysterious man** who appears only after midnight. He is unusually tall, dressed in old, weathered clothes, with his face mostly hidden in darkness. Every night, he silently walks through the village and knocks exactly **three times** on a different house. The villagers all know one rule: **Never answer the knock after midnight. Never look outside. Never open the door.** For years, everyone obeys the rule. Then one stormy night, a new resident—unaware of the legend—hears the knocking. Thinking it is a traveler in need of help, they open the door. Outside, no one is there. The wind suddenly stops. The entire village becomes unnaturally silent. The door is left wide open. The next morning, the resident has vanished without a trace. Their bed is untouched, their belongings remain inside the house, and there are no footprints leading away. Only three muddy handprints are found on the outside of the door. From that night onward, the mysterious knocking continues, moving from house to house, and no one ever discovers what happened to those who answered. **Tone:** Slow, eerie, suspenseful, and mysterious. **Setting:** Rural Indian village with narrow dirt roads, old brick and mud houses, banyan trees, heavy fog, monsoon rain, distant dogs barking, flickering lanterns, and complete silence after midnight. **Visual Style:** Dark cinematic lighting, blue-gray moonlight, realistic atmosphere, dense fog, slow camera movements, close-ups of trembling hands, old wooden doors, empty streets, and abandoned-looking houses. **Narration Style:** Calm, whisper-like storyteller voice that gradually builds tension. **Sound Design:** Soft wind, distant thunder, insects suddenly going silent, three loud knocks on a wooden door, creaking wood, faint footsteps, and an unsettling ambient drone. Avoid loud jump scares. **Ending Text on Screen:** *"Some villages say... if you hear three knocks after midnight, never answer. Whether the legend is true or not, it's always safest to ignore unexpected visitors late at night."*
