I thought my neighbor was stealing my packages. Every delivery would disappear within minutes. I installed a doorbell camera, fully expecting to catch him. The next package arrived. Five minutes later, sure enough, my neighbor walked onto my porch, grabbed it, and left. I was furious. I marched over, camera footage ready on my phone, and knocked on his door. He opened it... holding my package. Before I could say anything, he smiled and said, "I was just about to bring this over. I noticed someone following the delivery truck every Tuesday. They've been watching your house." Apparently, he'd seen a porch pirate driving around the neighborhood for weeks. He'd been hiding my deliveries at his place until I got home from work. Then he pointed at his own security camera. The footage showed a stranger pulling up less than two minutes after my neighbor grabbed my package... looking around my porch... then driving away empty-handed. I apologized immediately. Turns out, the person I thought was stealing from me had actually been protecting me the whole time. Needless to say... I baked him cookies that weekend.
