The Lantern That Calls Your Name

The Lantern That Calls Your Name There’s an old rule in the mountains: if a lantern calls your name… never answer. People say it started with a hunter who got lost after sunset. Deep in the forest, he spotted a single lantern glowing between the trees. It swayed gently, even though there wasn’t a breath of wind. Then it spoke. It called his name. Thinking someone was searching for him, he answered. The light immediately drifted deeper into the woods, and he followed without thinking. Hours later, search teams found his footprints circling the exact same tree over and over… but the hunter was gone. The elders believed the lantern wasn’t trying to guide people. It was learning their voices. So if you’re ever alone at night and hear someone calling your name from the darkness… Don’t answer. Make it answer first.
