Math Beyond Numbers: Building Confidence with Wade Hampton

Hello everyone! My name is Wade Hampton, and I'm originally from Atlanta, Georgia. I currently teach 8th Grade Math, and I love helping students discover that math is more than just numbers. It's really about problem-solving, critical thinking, and building confidence. One of my favorite inspirational quotes is by Nelson Mandela: "It always seems impossible until it's done." I love this quote because it reminds me that challenges can be overcome with persistence, whether in the classroom or in life. Something unique about me is that I enjoy building things. Whether it's working on projects, creating solutions, or figuring out how things fit together, I love the process of taking an idea and turning it into something real. I believe that same creative mindset helps me make math engaging and meaningful for my students. I'm excited to share, learn, and grow with all of you. Thank you!
