This turtle tricks fish into swimming directly into its mouth. Meet the alligator snapping turtle. It can sit almost completely still underwater with its enormous mouth wide open. But look closely at its tongue. That little pink thing looks like a worm. The turtle wiggles it around like live bait. Curious fish swim closer thinking they’ve found an easy meal… sometimes straight between the turtle’s jaws. Then all the turtle has to do is strike. The fish thought it found dinner… but it WAS dinner.
