It is 2:17 in the morning when a driver spots a woman dressed in white beside a deserted road. She makes no gesture, but when he stops, she opens the door and silently sits in the back. A few miles later, she whispers, “Slow down. The bend is dangerous.” The driver brakes just in time. When he turns around to thank her, the seat is empty. Shaken, he goes to the nearest house. An elderly woman opens the door and turns pale when he describes his passenger. She shows him a photograph: it is her daughter, who died on that exact bend twenty years earlier. Since then, several drivers have told the same story. The White Lady may not be trying to frighten anyone… She may be returning to keep others from suffering the same fate.
