LOOKING AT OUR WORLD — WHAT IS GOOD, AND WHAT IS REAL? We live in a world full of information. Every day, we see wars, disasters, political arguments, economic problems and frightening predictions. But there is another question we should ask: What is actually true? And where is the good that is still happening? We should not believe everything we see online. We should look for evidence. We should listen to reliable sources, compare information, and ask: Where is the proof? And when we look carefully at today's world, we find something important. Yes, there is suffering. The war in Sudan continues to cause enormous human suffering, with millions of people displaced. The climate is also giving us serious warnings. The United Nations says that record heat, wildfires and flooding show the urgency of stronger climate action. But this is not the whole story. Human beings are also responding. Scientists are developing new ways to understand disasters and help humanitarian organisations respond faster, using evidence and technology to connect information from many different sources. Countries and international organisations continue to search for diplomatic solutions to conflicts. Even in the war in Ukraine, there are currently renewed diplomatic contacts and discussions about the possibility of peace. That does not mean peace has arrived — but it shows that dialogue has not completely disappeared. So perhaps we need to change the way we look at the world. Don't look only at what is loud. Look at what is true. Don't measure humanity only by its worst actions. Look also at the people who rescue others, feed communities, develop new technology, protect nature, care for children, search for peace and refuse to give up. The world is not simply good or bad. It is complicated. There is darkness. There is suffering. There is injustice. But there is also courage, compassion, scientific discovery, cooperation and hope. And that is why we need something more powerful than fear: We need awareness. We need to question what we are told. We need evidence instead of rumours. We need facts instead of manipulation. And we need hope — not blind optimism, but hope based on action. Because the future of our world is not written only by governments, corporations or powerful people. It is also shaped by ordinary human beings. By what we choose to believe. By what we choose to share. By how we treat another person. And by whether, when we see something wrong, we decide to do nothing... or decide to make a difference. So, when you look at today's world, don't ask only: "What is going wrong?" Ask also: "What is real?" "What is good?" "What can I do?" Because understanding reality is the first step. And changing reality begins with us.
