I had Two years sober October of 24’…. I’m Still ignorant as hell but I’d be damned if my life isn’t way better than it was. After my divorce I threw away 18 months sober from alcohol. I chose to sleep in my truck and hit the bar every night rather than maintain my routine. That caught up to me quick. I spent two months out of 2022 locked up and caught my 7th dwi. It’s been a long two years rebuilding my life. Many good and bad experiences. In the end tho I’m healthy and live abundantly and that’s a blessing. Remember even when times are tough, Put in your 8 hours of labor. Go to work. Work through your thoughts and struggles while being productive and earning your way. Remember to take care of yourself. Shower, eat, drink water. Then when the time comes that you have enough clarity to double down and get back to the grind, Jump on it. Ride it out as long as possible. And when life hits again, we can only hope we are built strong enough to not break again. A Saturday in the garage.. Christmas cleaning? Had a ton of work related materials and tools to take back to the shop space in the basement. I try to only keep a few items up in the garage that I may need when walking out the door to do tile that day. If not it’ll pile up and take over like it has.
