then we went horseback riding and our guide said he had an ex Amish on the horseback ride and his community would put horses on a concrete slab and they would tie their legs together with a rope and they would say “WOAH” before yanking the rope so the horses would trip on their heads making them bleed (I believe). The community would do this when the horses would try to run away, so that they could condition the horses when off the rope to stop running when they heard “woah”, because they thought they would “trip”.
