If you’re feeling behind in life, remember that you're running your own race. I was hosting a workshop recently and some of my Lifestyle Business Academy students felt behind because others were making loads of progress. But here's the thing I told them: You're going to be in this game for 10+ years. Being 3-4 weeks behind someone else doesn't matter when everyone's starting from different points anyway. If comparison motivates you to learn from others - great. But if it makes you feel like you suck? That's not helpful. Run your own race. 🏃‍♂️

The feeling is not the master. You are the master. 1 thing that has really helped me in my life is recognising that thoughts, feelings and actions do not have to be correlated 🚫 🧠 We get to decide what actions we take, regardless of how we’re feeling e.g. I didn’t want to film a YouTube video because I felt people would laugh at me, but I took action anyway and filmed it. How do you deal with setbacks or failures in achieving your goals? Here’s the thing, goal achievement is very rarely a linear process. It’s usually a windy, twisty process especially if you’re working towards something that involves stepping outside of your comfort zone. What you need to do is to reset the expectations of how long it will take you to achieve the goal so there’s less of a mismatch between expectation and reality. Because once you do this, you’ll have a better idea of how long something will take and therefore you won’t have as many setbacks or feel like you’ve ‘failed’ your goals.
