It's rich that the same administration that defended Kyle Rittenhouse, that pardoned January 6th rioters, is now saying that showing up to a protest with a legally-owned weapon should be grounds for a person's death. We cannot go down this road. #AOC

The Trump administration knows that they need to keep us divided, so they have to try to distract us with flashpoints to distract us from the fact under this administration, life for everyone except the top 0.00001% is getting worse and worse. Prices have exploded, people's health insurance is being stripped as you read this — $1 trillion out of health care to fund this state violence. This is the agenda. It's part of a larger class war that they have incited — to erode and erase the care we receive, to make us work longer hours for less pay to afford less and less in our lives while they loot the economy and line their pockets.

Regardless of where you are in the Democratic Party, this moment and this incident prove that the status quo cannot stand. If you are an everyday person, there is an environment of political intimidation at play. They don't want us to use our First Amendment rights, our right to assembly or freedom of speech. They want to make sure we are afraid to act as people, as employers, as a free nation. Do not let this administration intimidate you out of using your First Amendment right to organize and mobilize against what we know is wrong. We must remember: we outnumber them. We can’t allow them to divide us. We must stay united to fight for a better future for all of us.

ICE is an agency that is attacking U.S. citizens, kidnapping five-year-olds and using them as bait, and privately circulating the idea that they can violate the rights of Americans by busting down their doors—they deserve to be defunded, and I’ll take any step in that direction.

The fight that over 15,000 @NY State Nurses Association are waging right now is not just about one or two hospitals. It's a fight to put the health, the safety, and the lives of every New Yorker that walks through its doors above the greed of corporations.

This administration is sending ICE into communities. They're invading other countries. They're tweeting crazy shit. They're not lowering the price of groceries. They're not raising people's wages. They're not creating jobs.

Newsflash: we're talking about the richest hospitals in New York City. Let's not pretend they can't afford to give the nurses of @NY State Nurses Association conditions they deserve: ✔️ safe staffing for patients ✔️ health care benefits for nurses ✔️ protections against workplace violence for nurses

I want everybody to understand — the cuts to your health care are what's paying for ICE to be doing this. Understand how these dots connect. You get screwed over to pay a bunch of thugs in the street that are shooting mothers in the face.

New York City, we made history in choosing @Zohran Mamdani as our 112th mayor. We chose courage over fear. And we chose prosperity for the many over the spoils of the few.

The entrenched ways would rather have us dig in our feet and seek refuge in the past. We have chosen to make a new future. A future all of us.

Thank you to everyone who chipped in and volunteered this Thanksgiving. With your support, we donated over 1,700 turkeys in the Bronx and Queens.
