A year later, my charcoal self-portrait is finally complete. By far one of the hardest drawings l've ever done, not just because of its size, but because it forced me to face myself. Drawing yourself is... uneasy, uncomfortable, almost confrontational. But you learn so much through it. People often asked me what it means. Truth is, l'd rather you decide. Like all my work, it carries pieces of my life, my feelings, my experiences. I almost gave up on it more times than I can count. Took breaks, doubted, questioned. And yet here it is. Finished.
