AUC’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, in partnership with Elaraby Group, is providing students in the Entrepreneurship Lab course with a unique, hands-on learning experience.  Through this collaboration, students apply classroom concepts to real-world corporate challenges by developing AI-driven solutions, while gaining firsthand industry exposure through on-site factory visits.  The initiative bridges academic learning and practical innovation, equipping students with the skills, insights and experience needed to solve complex business problems in a real corporate environment.

From new friends to traveling and reaching goals, this semester was one for the books! Our students share the highlights that made it extra special.

Meet Alia El Bolock, Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. Her interdisciplinary work bridges computer science, psychology and responsible AI advancing ethical, transparent and privacy-preserving technologies that keep humans at the center. With a focus on early detection of mental health challenges, she develops AI tools that identify cognitive distortions while protecting users’ privacy. Through her research and teaching, she champions accessible, responsible AI and empowers students to use technology for social good.
