Ciao 👋 If you’re new here, let me give you a quick recap of my story. I’m a 41-year-old woman from Italy, living my American dream in sunny California. I am the mother of Matilde (18) and Mia (10) — being their mom is what I am the most proud of. In the past 21 years, I built a modeling career beyond my wildest dreams. I’ve walked iconic runways. I’ve had the honor of gracing the covers of some of the most prestigious glossy magazines. I’ve been the face of amazing global campaigns. I’ve been part of some of the most exclusive and unforgettable events. In 2021, I learned I carry the BRCA1 genetic mutation and, to protect my health, I had a preventive double mastectomy at the end of 2022. I dreamed of having more children, so I froze my eggs — and hesitated to remove my ovaries. In September 2024, I was told I had stage 3 ovarian cancer and went through a major debulking surgery touching many organs. On October 14th, 2024, I started chemotherapy. I promised myself I’d never watch my hair fall out in chunks — so on Halloween night, I shaved my head. I wanted to feel normal again, so I planned photoshoots to remind the fashion industry that beauty doesn’t disappear with illness. Two weeks after my last chemo, I co-hosted the most acclaimed Italian TV show — the Sanremo Music Festival. Hundreds of women from around the world reached out — proving that sharing our stories helps others feel seen and courageous. One year later, here I am — with a new purpose: to use my work and image to give hope and strength to women who’ve walked the same difficult path.
