1) We're working with morebus to protect 1.3million bus journeys across our towns 🙌 Together we're maintaining existing services across all 18 currently subsidised Monday-Saturday, Sunday and evening routes. And we're improving connectivity between towns with additional services in peak times to and from Royal Bournemouth Hospital, Poole, Penn Hill, Lilliput, Westbourne and Bournemouth. We're really proud to have worked alongside Morebus to secure the future of these services - together we are helping keep communities connected one trip at a time. 2) BCP Council has been awarded a C1 rating, the highest possible grade from the Regulator of Social Housing. This means safer homes, better services and a stronger voice for residents. 3) Two Bournemouth shops have been closed for selling illegal tobacco and vapes BCP Council Trading Standards has secured three month closure orders for Triangle Mini Market (Commercial Road) and Kingston Market (The Triangle) after repeated illegal sales. These closures help protect residents from dangerous, unregulated products and support legitimate local businesses. Stopping the illegal tobacco and vape trade also helps keep young people safer and prevents organised criminals from profiting in our communities. 4) We celebrated our social workers who’ve completed the ASYE programme at BCP Council 🎓 The Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) gives newly qualified social workers the support and confidence to grow in their roles, build strong practice, and understand the communities they’re part of. Across Adult Social Care, we support around 14,000 residents and social workers helps us continue delivering high quality, compassionate care for people and families across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole. Congratulations to our ASYE graduates and thank you to everyone who's supported them on their journey 👏 5) Penny the Cat was rescued at Redhill Homes Site after the flooding caused by Storm Chandra 😻 Penny is a stray cat that lives in the park and was taken in by a resident who now cares for her ❤️
