one year ago today, I posted my first voice-over video. this is that video. 🙇♀️ to me, this video means a lot bc it marks the moment I took myself and my dreams seriously enough to step out of my comfort zone. to try new things. to voice my thoughts. it is just one tiny tiny piece of a big puzzle that is still being assembled. but it once again shows that every puzzle piece matters. 🥹 please take this as your sign to just go for it. whatever dream it is you’re having, take the first step. dare. 🤍 and bc I can’t say it enough: thank you for your support. I’m still pinching myself every day that I get to do this as a job. I’m super grateful for each and every one of you. 🧸🤎 (also, yes, I do cringe a little bit at this video. but not as much as I thought!! I still very much stand behind what I said there hehe 🙂↕️) 🏷️ content creation journey , stoicism , wellbeing , psychology , psychology tips , happiness , happiness journey , mental well-being , mindset shift , #contentcreationtips #mindsetshift #psychologytips #personaldevelopment #fyppp

the thing about stoic reframes is that they're almost stupidly simple when you write them out. like, "focus on what you can control" sounds so obvious, right?? but then you're at 1am spiraling about a text from three days ago and suddenly your brain has zero access to any philosophical wisdom whatsoever. 🙃 this is why I don't think stoicism works as just a thing you read about. you need to actually practice catching yourself mid-spiral and redirecting. and btw, it's way easier to do that when you have people around you doing the same thing. anyway. if you want a place to actually practice this stuff (not just screenshot it), that's what the stoic girl collective is. 🔗 in b10. 🌷 💖 quick side note: when I say "modern girl problems" I'm not trying to be dismissive or make light of anything. these are real struggles! I just find that sometimes stoic philosophy can feel a bit dry or inaccessible, and framing it through stuff we actually deal with makes it easier to remember when you need it. 💖 🏷️ stoicism for women , stoic philosophy , overthinking , emotional regulation , psychology tips , inner work , personal growth , soft stoicism , anxiety relief , self development , girl problems #stoicism #overthinking #emotionalregulation #mindsetshift #personalgrowth
real confidence is something i used to misunderstand completely. i thought it meant never doubting yourself, never needing reassurance. just... knowing you're great and moving accordingly. (lol no) what i've learned (from both psychology and two thousand years of Stoic philosophy, bc apparently i needed both) is that the confident people aren't the ones who NEVER spiral. they're the ones who stopped ✨outsourcing their sense of self.✨ bc every time you wait for someone's approval before you feel good about sth, you're handing THEM the keys to YOUR inner world. and the crazy thing is, they didn't even ask for them!! the Stoics were very clear on this: ✨nothing outside you gets to determine your worth. your opinion of yourself is the only one you actually have to live with.✨ save this post & come back to it when someone's comment is doing too much damage. 🥺 🧸 and if you want to actually build this from the inside out, the Stoic Girl Starter Pack is in my b10. if you want some more guidance, we work through the complete workbook together in my community (the stoic girl collective). go from overthinking, anxiety, and feeling stuck to having all the tools for mental clarity, resilience, and emotional regulation in only 8 weeks. you can find the 🔗 in my b10 too ofc 🤍 🏷️ stoicism for women , confidence journey , how to be confident , reminders , stoic quotes , Marcus Aurelius , Epictetus , Seneca , psychology tips , aesthetic post , mental wellbeing , self-improvement , personal development #mindsetshift #confidence #fyppp #overthinking #reminder
i used to think i just suckedddd at follow-through. like, i’d start something with full intention and then two weeks later it would just... quiiietly fade into the background 🫠 and I’d blame myself for it; i’m just not disciplined enough, not committed enough, whatever. at some point, i realized the problem wasn’t discipline itself. it was that ✨i was doing everything completely alone✨. (now, unpacking WHY i was afraid to share my goals or ambitions or ask for help is a topic for another day lol) there was no one to check in with, no one to ask when i got stuck, no one who even KNEW i was trying. and that makes everything sooo much harder than it needs to be. 🐣 the stoic girl collective is what I built to fix that. we grow together, build our best self TOGETHER. there’s a weekly structure, real people, and actual support. we go on an 8-week journey from overthinking & anxiety to knowing who you wanna become & building resilience. we start march 2nd, and you can join now. 🔗 is in my b10 🤍 🏷️ stoicism for women , accountability , personal development , self growth , community , inner work , psychology , anxiety , overthinking , emotional regulation , reaching your goals #overthinking #discipline #personaldevelopment #selfdevelopment #motivation

whether it’s career-, relationship-, or growth-related, periods of transitions just suckkkk. why? bc your nervous system thrives on routine, certainty, and predictability. and in periods of transitions you have neither of those things. so, how do we deal with uncertainty without ✨losing our minds?✨ here’s my attempt at an answer. 💌 for more context and a deeper dive into everything, check out the 20th issue of my substack (the soft stoic letter, 🔗 in b10) 🧚♀️ if you’d like help with how to finally shush that overthinking, anxious brain and manage your emotions better, my digital workbook, the stoic girl starter pack, is your new bestie. grab it thru the 🔗 in my b10. 💖 you can also watch me yap on top of this slideshow on my profile if you wish to get a lil more context. 🏷️ stoicism for women , building discipline , life transitions , how to navigate uncertainty , new chapter , life after uni , in between jobs , psychology , mindset shift , overthinking , that girl energy , #uncertainty #newchapter #stoicism #thatgirlenergy #mindsetshift
honestly, I made this carousel and then realized I've been guilty of this too. like, I have SO MANY notes and dog-eared pages about emotional regulation and still had a full meltdown last Tuesday lol, so the irony is not lost on me 🫣 the thing is, your brain will trick you into thinking that learning about sth is the same as DOING something. it feels productive, it feels like progress. but then a month goes by and nothing's actually different. I'm not saying don't save posts or stop learning!! (pls save my posts or interact with them, it helps me so much haha) I’m just saying there's a point where you have to ✨close the loop✨. where the information you're consuming has to meet the life you're actually living. and that's usually the part where most of us come to a halt… anyway. if this hit a little too close to home, the stoic girl collective is my answer to this exact problem. 🔗 in b10 to join. 💕 🏷️ stoicism for women , personal growth , self development , inner work , behavior change , emotional regulation , overthinking , accountability , anxiety , psychology #stoicism #selfdevelopment #personalgrowth #innergrowth #emotionalregulation
Replying to @Maarrania✨ Here’s what to do when you have no idea what’s next 🥺 Today on stoicism but make it cute, we’re covering a practical application of stoicism rather than a core stoic concept itself. The topic is uncertainty or periods of transitions, and let me tell you, the Stoics had a lot to say on this… bc uncertainty is a part of life! We’re covering why uncertainty is so difficult to navigate and how to cope in healthy ways. As always, there’s a looot more to say about everything I’m mentioning. This video is meant only as an easy-to-digest introduction to the topic. You can find a longer version of this going into more detail in the 20th issue of my newsletter, the Soft Stoic Letter, out now. (🔗 in b10) 💌 - 🧚♀️ join our community, the stoic girl collective, thru the 🔗 in my b10. - Also lil disclaimer: pls take this with a grain of salt, I’m not trying to mock anyone, this is for funsies (and a bit of education). It is just me trying to approach a rather “dry” topic of a philosophy that’s been branded in a very tough and masculine way in the past through a modern and more humorous lens. Hope you likey and hope you learned something today! been thinking about how we talk about slumps like they’re these temporary dips you just need to wait out. like, if you rest enough or think positive enough, you’ll naturally bounce back. but that’s not how nervous systems work (unfortunately, luckily? idk). when you’ve been stuck for a while, your brain literally adapts to that state. it starts treating “doing nothing” as the baseline safe mode. so when you try to move again, every part of you screams thAT SOMETHING’S WRONG. why? bc your system is doing exactly what it evolved to do: resist change. which is why “just start” advice feels so useless when you’re actually in it. your brain isn’t being dramatic, it genuinely perceives action as a threat after extended inactivity. the way out is understanding what’s happening in your nervous system and working ✨with it✨ instead of against it. small, consistent actions that slowly teach your brain that movement is safe again. 🌷 The Stoic Girl Collective, my community, is where we’re learning these psychological tools together through weekly modules and guided sessions. accountability without the guilt trip!! 🔗 in b10 ✨ 🏷️ getting out of a slump , mental health slump , how to get unstuck , nervous system regulation , overcoming depression, psychology tips , productivity slump , burnout recovery , getting motivated again , how to start over , rebuilding after burnout , self-compassion #uncomfortabletruths #gettingunstuck #motivation #burnoutrecovery #psychologytips
I have exciting news!! 🥹 the stoic girl collective is live. 🌷 it’s a guided community where we go through the stoic girl starter pack together (& more!!): weekly modules, video lessons, real discussions, and people who actually get it. you don’t have to do this alone anymore! 💖 join thru the 🔗 in my b10 - 🏷️ stoicism for women , emotional regulation , soft stoicism , personal development , mental resilience , stoic philosophy , overthinking , mental clarity , anxiety , self development for women, inner work , community #stoicism #emotionalregulation #selfdevelopment #innergrowth #community
imagine someone following you around 24/7 saying stuff like „you're so stupid," "that was embarrassing," "just give up.“ ummm, rude?! you’d shut them down pretty quickly, right? but when it's YOUR voice, somehow you've just accepted being talked to like this… 🥺 you've convinced yourself that being harsh will motivate you or help you „toughen up“, but really you're just bullying yourself! here’s how to change that. also, I’d like to briefly mention that for some, their inner critic isn’t words, but maybe shows up as a prominent feeling or mental image. but regardless of how it shows up, it's still doing damage. ❤️🩹 💌 for more context and a deeper dive into everything, check out the 19th issue of my substack (the soft stoic letter, 🔗 in b10) 🧚♀️ if you’d like help with how to finally shush that overthinking brain and manage your emotions better, my digital workbook, the stoic girl starter pack, is your new bestie. grab it thru the 🔗 in my b10. 💖 you can also watch me yap on top of this slideshow on my profile if you wish to get a lil more context. 🏷️ stoicism for women , building discipline , self talk , self love , motivation , habit building , consistency , anxiety , psychology , mindset shift , overthinking , that girl energy , #discipline #selflove #stoicism #thatgirlenergy #mindsetshift
funny how we’ll spend hours planning the perfect date for someone else but can’t be bothered to keep a single promise to ourselves?? valentine’s day is loud about romantic love and weirdly silent about the relationship that actually determines whether all your other relationships work or fall apart (hint: it’s the one with youuu) 🧸 so if you’re spending today romanticizing someone else or spiraling because you’re single, maybe redirect some of that energy inward. not in a “self-care sunday” performative way, but in a “what would change if I actually treated myself like someone I respect” kinda way 💖 happy v day everyone 🌷🧚♀️✨ 🏷️ Valentine’s Day , galentine’s , self love , self care , mental wellbeing , relationship with yourself , what to do this valentine’s , #valentinesday #psychologytips #stoicismforwomen #selflove #personaldevelopment
Replying to @EllaNot4anyone Here’s how to tell your inner critic to shut the f*ck up (respectfully lol) 🤫 Today on stoicism but make it cute, we’re covering a practical application of stoicism rather than a core stoic concept itself. The topic is the inner critic, bc we all know we can be our own worst enemy sometimes. I’m sharing a new perspective of how to talk to yourself, and what that might look like. As always, there’s a looot more to say about everything I’m mentioning. This video is meant only as an easy-to-digest introduction to the topic. If you’re tired of giving your PRECIOUS mental energy to things that were never yours to control in the first place, these 3 exercises will actually help SO much. 🌷 The Circle of Control Diagram shows you visually where your stress is living (spoiler: probably in the outer circle where you have zerooo control). 🌷 The Decision-Making Framework gives you four questions to filter choices through so you stop deciding from fear. 🌷And the Energy Audit reveals exactly where your mental bandwidth is leaking so you can plug the holes. These exercises are all from Module 2 of the Stoic Girl Starter Pack, where we break down the dichotomy of control (aka the art of releasing your grip on things that were never yours to hold) with actual psychology research and full worksheets for all of these (and more!). If your brain’s default setting is “let’s overthink this, shall we” or “time to mentally argue with reality,” this workbook will not only give you better tools, but also explain the psychology behind it all. 🔗 in b10 🤍 🏷️ psychology tools , psychology tips , reframe , mindset shift , stoicism for women , cbt , #overthinking #anxiety #overwhelm #stoicism #personaldevelopment
ok so let’s talk about discipline real quick bc i think we’ve all been lied to about what it actually means… most of us think discipline = waking up at 5am or grinding until you collapse or self-punishment but here’s what i believe it actually is: keeping your word to yourself every time you say “i’ll do the thing” and then don’t, you’re teaching yourself that your word means nothing. your self-trust erodes bit by bit until you can’t even rely on yourself anymore we’re all out here waiting for motivation like it’s a bus that’s definitely coming. scrolling for inspiration, waiting for the “right mood,” telling ourselves “tomorrow i’ll feel like it” except feelings are wildly unreliable. they depend on sleep, stress, hormones, whether you fought with your partner last night now, what actually works is ✨doing the thing bc you said you would, regardless of how you feel in that moment ✨ and that action then creates the motivation you were waiting for all along! here’s how to practice self-trust and therefore discipline: 💖 pick ONE tiny thing (not ten) 💖 make it so small it feels almost silly (examples below) 💖 do it every time you said you would 💖 after one week of showing up, make it juuuust a bit bigger for the following week. 🧚♀️ examples: not “journal for 30 min” → write one sentence not “work out an hour” → do 5 min of movement not “read a book a week” → read one page the size doesn’t matter!! keeping the promise matters. bc every kept promise = evidence you can trust yourself I know starting small is annoying; but soon you’ll see how these small wins compound in ways you can’t even seeee yet 🙇♀️ so: what’s one small thing you’re gonna keep your word on today? 📒 if you want structured exercises for building discipline and developing self-trust, my workbook the stoic girl starter pack has an entire module on daily practices with habit-building tools (as well as an in-depth worksheet for today’s practice). 🔗 in b10 🧸🤎 🏷️ building discipline , productivity hacks , #discipline #selfimprovement #motivation #mindsetshift #thatgirlenergy
