The mesmerising process of Shinnosuke Hariya Shinnosuke Hariya is a contemporary Japanese artist based in Tokyo, known for his hyper-detailed graphite drawings that reinterpret iconic characters from global pop culture. Working primarily in pencil, Hariya blurs the line between realism and fantasy, transforming flat, familiar figures into intricate, three-dimensional forms. His work often plays with surreal distortions — adding extra eyes, twisting proportions, or manipulating expression — creating a visual tension that invites deeper reflection on identity, nostalgia, and transformation.
