It’s a celebration every time we link up. At tonight’s Empowered Vision Award cocktail in New York City, guests wore their fashion’s finest to celebrate the four designer finalists.

Daveed Baptiste just won the second Empowered Vision Award. Supermodel #ImaanHamam and #EdwardBuchanan made the announcement at a celebration at the W New York — Union Square. Baptiste receives a $100,000 financial grant and a year-long mentorship program valued at an additional $100,000. In addition, each finalist will also receive a grant this year. Ahead of tonight’s recipient announcement, the four Empowered Vision Award 2.0 finalists Daveed Baptiste, Advisry, Kwame Adusei and Theophilio gave their final presentations to the selection committee yesterday. Today marks a new era for CFDA Fashion Calendar as we relaunch the site and announce our collaboration with FIT’s Fashion Calendar Research Database, integrating our fashion show listings and data from the past 10 years since CFDA acquired the calendar from the late publisher Ruth Finley. In continuation of her mission and honoring Ruth Finley’s trust in the CFDA as the official organizer of NYFW, we take a look at the 2014 CFDA Fashion Awards film when we honored the publishing icon with the Board of Directors’ Tribute.
