More than 40 Chinese and foreign employees gathered to enjoy fun activities including Chinese chess, magic shows, bean bag toss and dumpling-making, experiencing authentic Chinese New Year traditions. ITER is the world's largest nuclear fusion megaproject, a global collaboration to unlock limitless clean energy. On February 4, China’s Hualong One reactor marked another milestone in its batch construction with the successful hoisting of the inner containment dome at Unit 3 of the Zhangzhou Nuclear Power Plant, under the China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC). As the first nuclear unit in China’s 15th Five-Year Plan period, the hoisting signals the Unit’s full transition from civil construction to equipment installation. This achievement lays a solid foundation for subsequent installation, commissioning, and grid connection, delivering a strong start to the second phase of the Zhangzhou nuclear project in the new year and injecting robust momentum into the steady advancement of China’s nuclear power program.#CNNC

HL-3, a new-generation artificial sun, is currently China's largest and most advanced tokamak facility in terms of scale and parameters, dedicated to exploring and developing fusion energy. In May 2025, the device achieved a fusion triple product on the order of 10^20, accelerating China’s progress toward burning plasma experiments. The facility is now undergoing upgrades and is planned to be the first to conduct burning plasma experiments in 2027.#CNNC
