We are always going to have problems, difficulties, and obstacles. Life is not living without problems. Life is being able to handle the problems, and doing it the right, honest, and fair way, period.

We will not use our football team to promote any cause. We are going to promote Notre Dame and Notre Dame football, period.

Growing up without much did not feel like poverty. It felt like possibility. In America, what matters is not where you start. What matters is having the opportunity to build something better.
