Today is my birthday. And instead of celebrating, I was on my way to an ICE detention center to visit my dad… while he called me from an ICE detention phone just to wish me a happy birthday. No one—and when I say no one, I mean no one—should ever have to go through this. No kid, wife, cousin, friend, or grandchild should feel this kind of pain. All I want is for things to go back to normal. I haven’t been sleeping well. I haven’t been eating well. And honestly, the way ICE treats families is heartbreaking—laughing, being rude, showing no compassion. I wish they could walk in our shoes for one day and feel the pain they put families through. If you have a loved one with no papers, please take care of them. Don’t let them go out alone. It’s getting scary out here, and the fear they’re putting into our homes is real. My only birthday wish is for my dad to come back home soon. Because my dad is a good person. He loves to fish. He doesn’t drink. He doesn’t party. He works hard. He is not a criminal or a dangerous person. He loves to crack jokes. I never, in my life, thought something like this would happen to me—but unfortunately, it did. I’ve had to deal with rude people just trying to see my father. I’ve been talking to lawyers nonstop, gathering work recommendation letters, getting information, doing everything I possibly can. This has affected me in every way imaginable. I’ve cried. I’ve gotten angry. And now, with all the frustration and pain, I’m turning it into action—doing everything in my power to bring my father back home, where he belongs. Thankfully, I have an amazing family supporting me and helping in so many ways. While I carry this pain, I’m still standing, still fighting, still pushing forward for my dad. I want to thank everyone who has reposted my story, donated, shared resources, or sent kind words. Everything helps. Every single thing matters. Reading your comments, hearing similar stories, and seeing positive outcomes has helped me stay hopeful. I was going through such a dark time that my mom was worried enough to consider putting me in a mental hospital because of my panic attacks. But the positive energy, the encouragement, and the DMs recommending good lawyers have truly helped me keep going. I’m praying that soon I’ll receive good news and finally have my daddy back home. Thank you from the bottom of my heart 🤍 #ice #dad #fypシ

On January 9, 2026, at 12:43 PM, my life changed in a blink of an eye. I received a text from my cousin saying, "Answer the phone, it's about your dad." My father was detained by ICE at 32nd E St & Main in Los Angeles. He was simply stepping out to get lunch. He wasn't doing anything wrong-he just hungry and wanted to get something to eat .. Please keep my family in your prayers I been really going through it I’m desperate I never had my father in any kind of situation like this .. Thank you for your kindness, support, and love during this painful time. I am putting my faith in God's hands, but the stress of finding a lawyer and covering all the legal expenses has been overwhelming for me And to anyone who has family members without papers-be careful, hug them tight, and be grateful for every moment you have together. Ice is getting closer to home and unfortunately it came close to mine… Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Any donation no matter the amount truly helps. If you're unable to donate, please consider sharing every share counts .. #ice #dad #LIVEIncentiveProgram #LIVEStory #PaidPartnership
