Your daily reminder that your arms don’t need to be hidden. There’s no such thing as too old for sleeveless. There’s no such thing as too curvy for sleeveless. There’s no such thing as wrong arms. There’s no such thing as right arms. (Well technically there is but you know what I mean) There’s just arms. Arms that hold your loved ones. Make your lifestyle possible. Working with hundreds of women a common theme is ‘I don’t like my arms, they’re too big/soft etc’. And I always say two things. 1. When you’re on your deathbed will you look back and be grateful that you always wore sleeves so no one could see your arms? and 2. Have you ever looked at another woman and thought ‘she should be wearing sleeves’? Trust me when I tell you everyone is so focused on their own insecurities they are not seeing yours! Imagine it all the time and brainpower you women spent criticising and worrying about how their body looks was funneled into passion and pleasure! We’d have so much more fun and positivity in our lives! If you’re someone who is self conscious of your arms (or other areas) I encourage you to take baby steps on changing your mindset and freeing yourself! If I’m being honest. Since I started embracing my natural hair one thing I’ve struggled with is the perception that non-heat styled hair isn’t ‘groomed’ enough for formal or dressy occasions. But just as I fight daily for my clients to accept their bodies in an imbalanced society, I also want to represent my natural haired ladies too. So no. I won’t fight the crazy and unpredictable strands on my head any more than I’ll fight the curves on my body. Hi! I’m Rachael. A certified award winning stylist, boy mama and champagne lover (hence the handle). I didn’t become a stylist because I’ve always loved fashion and getting dressed, quite the opposite in fact. For a very long time I didn’t know how to dress my body or what my personal style was. Often turning to trying to copy what confident people wore thinking it would make me confident, not realising they were confident because they knew their own style. I have also lived in a bigger body which 10 years ago had next to nothing in store to fit me. I created my own label over 10 years ago to manufacture slogan t-shirts for fuller busted and curvier ladies, they were all the rage however often just screen printed onto generic tees that did not fit a larger body. This introduced me to the world of instagram, fashion bloggers and style challenges. And I had FOMO. I couldn’t participate as a brand… but I could with a personal account! And so Champagne S’il Vous Plaît was born. A place for me. Rachael. With a fashion focused account, quite soon a baby bump with our Rainbow, and then a squishy newborn, I had the privilege of connecting with brands and creating a beautiful community of women here in CSVP. Over the years I have helped many women with their style, occasions and more in my DMs. So when my youngest started school I committed to my dream of becoming a stylist and studied with @australianstyleinstitute. Becoming accredited (this is not a regulated industry, anyone can unfortunately call themselves a stylist) and winning an award that same year. I now have the privilege of working 1:1 in person and online with my clients, running workshops and event speaking, creating eBooks and style guides for businesses wanting to elevate their workplace, style photoshoots and more. But what I really do is… Show women of all shapes and sizes how to embrace their now & find their love for fashion, beauty & life at all its stages. Ps I also started my career as a beauty therapist. I regret not taking home the last set 😮‍💨🤤 It’s my literal job to dress people so it’s fun to let go of the reigns and let someone else dress me… and if I’m going to trust anyone it will definitely be Summer who has worked with @Cue for almost 30 years. Specs: nothing too floral, no skirts and no dresses (I am who I am) and Summer has seen me enough in store with my styling clients that she knows I’m a sucker for a high waisted trouser. Which is your favourite? I love so SO many pieces Summer recommended but the last outfit has my heart. As always I’ve lined everything on my LTK - I’m wearing a size 12 in everything except the first two tops which I sized up to a L in as I don’t linked anything knitted or ribbed to be clingy personally.
