There's little point trying to hassle over rental yield and buy the worst property. Only for you to be losing money for 8 months mortgage payments, thus wiping out the next 18-24 months worth of rental profit. *notice* it can make sense if you plan to do a 8 month refurb specifically to raise the value of the property bought in a postcode with a high cealing price that accommodates for you anticipated "profit" after you cash out remortgage. But If the plan was only to get it back to operating standard and end up spending on the things that doesn't not increase property valuation all because you wanted it cheap... Getting a mortgage is not all about percentages, And there are many other fee’s E.g. Often times there’s an early repayment fee. An “early repayment fee” is important e.g. if you’re looking to flip the property and sell up before the term ends. This video isn’t to say go for the cheapest, but understand there’s more than just “get the lowest X% APR”.
