DC Environmental Film Festival

One year ago today, Cambodia jailed five activists from the group Mother Nature after they sounded the alarm about river pollution and land reclamation projects. Mongabay’s new short film THE CLEARING follows those activists in the months leading up to their incarceration as they continued on their collision course with Cambodia’s rulers, exposing illegal logging in national parks and refusing to be silenced.
