Every now and then a person comes into your life that just emanates warmth. Their optimistic presence is infectious, and there’s a certain comforting glow about them. Leslie was that person, and she left this world last week after a long and taxing battle with cancer. To say she was strong would be a vast understatement. Most of you know the story of how our mutual friend found out that Leslie would watch @dognamedstella videos to stay positive amid the turmoil of cancer and the arduous treatments. Our friendship with Leslie began when we surprised her with Stella and Mabel a few years back. Then we went on to surprise her again at her beautiful Maine home, where I’ve gotten to know her incredibly kind and welcoming family. I want you all to know that she read the countless comments on the videos, and she LOVED them. The words of encouragement and personal experiences… thousands of comments from you incredible people. There’s no doubt they helped her stay positive. Leslie was a beautiful soul who truly left an indelible mark on the world. I wish I could hug her one more time. Thank you, Leslie, for being part of our lives, and for reminding us that making silly dog content for the world to see really does make a difference. Fare thee well, sweet Leslie.
