You can train the brain the same way you train a muscle. Here’s exactly what we’re activating in this clip: • Left frontal lobe → Quick eye movements (saccades) to the right • Left parietal lobe → Slow tracking eye movements (pursuits) to the left • Left parietal + occipital lobe → Visual input placed in the right visual field so it crosses over to the left side • Left cerebral cortex → Photobiomodulation (laser therapy) to support energy and activation in that region The more we activate brain networks together, the more powerful the therapy becomes. That’s a big part of why we see the results we do. This is a strategy called co activation. Co activation means pairing sensory/motor input/out with photobiomodulation (laser therapy) that supports energy production in that same region. One stimulates the circuit. The other helps fuel it. When you combine them, the effect is amplified. The goal is neuroplasticity, the brain’s ability to change, adapt, and become more efficient over time. In this case, we’re targeting the left hemisphere to help it integrate at a higher level. Language, speech production, and many detail oriented cognitive skills are largely supported by the left side of the brain. When we strengthen those networks, we often see improvements in the symptoms tied to them. Most parents have never heard of this approach. This doesn’t get talked about enough… The autism/adhd brain looks a little different from a physiological standpoint. With the power of neuroplasticity, we are able to create more efficient pathways in the brain 💪🏻 I would love to know your guys thoughts on this!
Do these Do these six things every day for six months and watch what happens to your child’s brain. 1️⃣Make them move their body daily It doesn’t matter how. Outside, inside, structured, just running around. The brain grows from movement 2️⃣ Cut processed foods in half Not perfect. Just 50 percent better. Fewer dyes, fewer ultra refined snacks, more real protein, fruit, vegetables. 3️⃣ Replace screens with real life One hour less screen equals one hour more conversation, play, boredom, imagination, problem solving. 4️⃣ Introduce one new skill or challenge each week Swimming. Going to a store. Martial arts. Playing with new people. Novelty builds new neural networks. Most parents have never heard of this approach. This is a hill I will die on… Non-speaking does not mean not intelligent. So many people make assumptions about a child’s intelligence the moment they find out they don’t use verbal communication. That assumption is one of the most damaging things we can do. When we shift from “they don’t get it” to “they absolutely get it, I just need to figure out how they communicate,” everything changes. And here’s the part that matters most… when you treat a child like they have something to say, you create the space for them to say it in their own way.
This post caught my attention because a follower sent it to me saying how upsetting how unhealthy our kids have become. And yes- I do agree with her statement. But when I looked a little deeper, I realized there’s more going on here than just “people making bad choices.” The map closely mirrors poverty rates across the United States. In many parts of this country, healthy living is not easily accessible. The food options are limited, very little resources and education/ community support lack. Culture and environment shape behavior sometimes more than what we realize. Yes, the numbers are still concerning and I am not trying to downplay them. But they also reflect a bigger issue with the overall health of our country. Sometimes you have to dig a little deeper to get the real answers you are looking for.
Some days are harder than others but I am always so proud of our little NeuroActive patients 🧠

Screen time addiction in children (and adults) has become an epidemic in the modern world that no one is talking about. Screen time alone can be enough to cause ADHD symptoms, anxiety and more. Parents- what are your thoughts on this? How have you been able to manage screen time with your child?
This is one of those moments where you almost have to pinch yourself to make sure I realize that I get to do this for a living. We’ve been working with Eviana for over five years now and a lot of you have watched her journey. Every time I see her, she’s doing something new. Things that doctors said that she “shouldn’t” be doing. From the outside, this might look small but her using her hands to move her wheelchair toward me and come in for a hug… that’s something we prayed and hoped about years ago. And this is only going to continue to get better. Moments like this are everything and we are sooo proud of her (as always)
If you have an inner passion or an idea you keep coming back to, go after it. Life’s too short to sit around wondering what might’ve happened if you just tried.

The brain runs everything. Everything from thinking to balance, coordination, focus, behavior, emotions, even how your child feels their body in space. So when we only look at the outward symptoms then we miss the real driver of how someone’s body feels. If the brain up and improve integration neurologically,, and a lot of those symptoms start to calm down. Three areas I look at all the time in clinic: the cerebellum for balance and coordination, the prefrontal cortex for focus and attention, and the parietal lobe for sensory processing and body awareness. When one of those isn’t working quite as well, it shows up as symptoms we hear all the time in the clinic. If you want to go deeper on this and actually know what to do at home, comment PLUS. I’ll send you a free trial to our program and you can start with the 7 Day Kickstart to begin strengthening your child’s brain.

For those who have been following our page for a while, you have seen the progression of this amazing girl. Every time I see her, she surprises me with something new. Drop some words of encouragement for her in the comments! ⬇️
Three reasons why we use gentle vibration on the face 1. Increases oral sensory awareness The face, lips, and jaw are packed with sensory receptors. Gentle vibration wakes this system up. When the brain gets clearer input from the mouth and face, kids often show improvements in awareness for talking, chewing, and coordinating oral movements. 2. Supports integration of the rooting reflex The rooting reflex is an early primitive reflex that helps babies find food. If it sticks around too long, it can interfere with feeding, speech, and facial control. Vibration around the cheeks and lips gives the input that helps the brain recognize that this reflex is no longer needed and begin to integrate it. 3. Stimulates the trigeminal nerve to support frontal lobe activation Most facial sensation runs through the trigeminal nerve. This nerve has strong connections into the brainstem and up to higher brain centers, including areas that influence attention, regulation, and executive function in the frontal lobes. By stimulating the face, we are driving input into brain networks that help with focus, control, and overall regulation.
Ever wonder what an appointment at NeuroActive actually looks like? A lot of real conversations. Not one of our practitioners trying to outsmart anyone. Education matters because when parents understand the why, they feel way more confident in the plan and way more comfortable advocating for their kid.
