BIG QUESTION 👀 Did our DIY projects hurt or help the value of our home? I design and decorate our space based on my personal style, but I’m always thinking one step ahead about resale value too. For big renovations, I take my time and only commit to changes I believe will increase our home’s value long-term. For DIY projects I’m not 100% sure about? I make sure they’re fully removable. Yes, it takes more planning and a lot of creative problem-solving, but, to me it’s worth the time and effort since it makes this place into a home that I love! Because at the end of the day, this isn’t just an investment… it’s our home. And I want to love living in it now. DIY Dream Closet Makeover using the IKEA PAX Closet Wardrobe System 🛠️ I am in love with how our closet turned out and even more excited about how much more storage we have to keep our clothes organized! Planning the design ➡️ demolition ➡️ removing/replacing old tube lights ➡️ repainting the ceiling ➡️ building each frame and adding each interior feature 🟰 A lot of work BUT ALL WORTH IT! Next step? There’s an entire wall that I need to still work on except I won’t be using IKEA to save money. BUDGET FRIENDLY DIY LIMEWASH ✨ Regular Paint I’ve ALWAYS wanted to Lime wash so I was extremely excited to finally do this type of DIY project! I’m also super happy that it cost me $0 since I used leftover paint, old takeout container, foil, leftover compound joint, and brushes that I already had from previous projects. Although I loved my previous wall with the geometric design on top, I wanted to add a bit of warmth to the room. I left the bottom half because… 1. It took SOOO much time and there is no way I’ll ever remove it. 2. This was the part of the wall that cost more. 3. It’s a timeless design and contributes to the warm organic aesthetic I am aiming for with this space. I love how it turned out and can’t wait to decorate the rest of this room! IT’S TIME FOR A CHANGE! Who knew removing an accent wall and repairing drywall required so many steps.. Throughout our home renovation I’ve had to repair a lot of dry wall and the number one tip I have is… After you sand down all the loose and torn edges to get it flush, apply drywall sealer before applying joint compound so that it doesn’t bubble. I’m so excited for the final reveal! I’ve been wanting to do this type of DIY for awhile and can’t wait to see how it turns out! #diyproject #homeimprovement #drywallrepair #diytips #homeinspo #accentwall

AM I DREAMING?! Cozy….Warm….Serene…Relaxing…. I finally created the bedroom of my dreams with @Living Spaces !! This room has definitely come a long way. When we first moved in, this bedroom was in terrible shape! It looked so cold and dreary!! Here’s how I achieved the warm cozy bedroom of my dreams: 1. We ripped out the previous gross carpet and installed new flooring. We chose LVP because of its durability and it’s very DIY friendly. 2: We found the most beautiful warm paint color with the right undertones to paint all the walls and ceiling. 3. Investing in high quality furniture pieces will really elevate the look of the space and it will last for a long time. The design, color, and quality of the furniture pieces from @livingspaces really added warmth to the room and gave it the designer look that I wanted! Also, you can’t sacrifice comfort! The adjustable base and platform bed is as comfortable as it looks! How do you think it turned out??
