Big love to anyone coming in cold to the Year of The Horse. People keep telling me to Saddle Up because it’s going to be a Big One and I’m here nodding along, knowing full well that I haven’t left the house all week and can’t even find my shoes. If, like me, your horse is still very much in the stable - perhaps playing dead, perhaps looking suspiciously like a cow - then I think that’s okay. We’ll catch them up later in the year. It is a big scary commitment to start a month-long daily project with no idea if anyone is even going to turn up, and I was genuinely terrified at first. But you all jumped straight on board and it has been nothing short of magical. Some of your suggestions along the way were absolutely genius and genuinely made my day. This whole series has felt like drawing with a huge group of friends in the room. I even had someone come up to me in my local pub to tell me not to be so hard on myself when I messed up P! Thank you for showing up, for cheering me on, for bringing this alphabet to life with me. Please remember that magic is for everyone. There is no room for hate in this world, and certainly not in this little corner of it.
