That ayah “ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ يُرَآءُونَ” genuinely scares me. Because being on social media, it’s so easy to start questioning yourself Am I doing this for Allah ? or am I slowly doing it for people? Sometimes I even think maybe it’s better I just quit completely just to protect my heart from riyaa. But then I remember the khair. The messages I get from people saying they started praying again. People telling me they picked up the Qur’an after years. People on their hifdh journey, or learning tajweed, or falling in love with Allah’s words again. that’s what keeps me going. So I just make du’a that Allah keeps my intention clean, accepts what’s sincere, and forgives what isn’t. May Allah never make the Qur’an a way for us to be seen, but a way for us to be saved. Ameen.

2025 has been a year that’s forced me to slow down and really look at myself. Things I wanted didn’t come when I wanted them, and the things I least expected turned out to be some of the best things I could’ve asked for. I’ve had moments where I felt strong and moments where I had nothing except duʿāʾ and trust in Allah. This year reminded me that control was never mine to begin with. Allah says: “وَعَسَىٰ أَن تَكْرَهُوا شَيْئًا وَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ” “And perhaps you hate a thing while it is good for you.” I’m learning to stop fighting the process, to sit with the lessons, and to believe that Allah sees what I can’t. Still trying. Still falling short. Still returning. Alhamdulillah for the ease and the difficulty, because both are shaping me. #fyp #muslim #ibiidris #2025
