Save this post for your next trip to the Cotswolds 🌳 The perfect 48 hours; we spent a cosy winter weekend staying at @strawtopcottages 🤍 Here’s our itinerary! Friday; Popped into @quinceandclover_on_the_square in Deddington and the local village shop; Eagles, to grab some crumpets and milk before checking into @strawtopcottages Friday night, dinner at @theduckonthepondsn ~ a real local hidden gem, incredible local produce, innovative dishes in the cosiest setting (and amazingly lovely staff!) Saturday; We did a quick workout at Soho Farmhouse (a very scenic 15 minute drive away from the cottage) and then drove another 5 minutes to @theyurtatnicholsons ~ SUCH a fantastic spot for insanely amazing breakfast, plus there’s a cute coffee truck in the middle of the garden centre if you just fancy a hot drink and cake while you amble about. Then we stopped at the new @northastonfarmshop ~ SO lovely to support local growers and pick up some fresh organic veg to enjoy with our dinner tonight. We used @alltrails to follow a 1.5hr beautiful walk called the Adderbury Circular - making the most of the wellies and wax jackets provided at the cottage! After watching the rugby at the village pub (Coach and Horses) we nipped out to the next village to get Fish & Chips from @theredliondeddington Sunday; A rainy morning, but we strolled to the local café just a 1 minute walk from the cottage, before taking a walk around Adderbury (SO cute) We booked brunch at a local VERY Farmy (!!) farm shop and café; @farmandtable_ for a hearty full English, then picked up some treats from @wykhamparkfarmshop - another really lovely one with literally everything you’d need for a weekly shop. RH England is just 6 minutes from @strawtopcottages so we popped in to have a wonder around and get a matcha. We checked out of the cottage and then made our final stop; to our new FAVOURITE pub; @thedukeofcumberlandshead ~ such great value ; £35 for 3 delicious courses and one of the best Sunday roasts I’ve ever had.
