The longer you diet you inevitably will cause lowered thyroid & progesterone levels. This is assuming your diet actually has you in a caloric deficit & increased activity levels. Some women may need to diet to help optimize estrogen levels of holding onto excess body fat. However it’s important to note that metabolic adaptation is a real thing.
