I thought it was my marketing, my offer or being able to “go viral” that would fix my business. Make me sales. Change my life. Turns out I was chasing the wrong thing. I skipped a few steps. I was obsessed with the external. Not with the internal. Then I started focusing on how I saw myself. How I saw the world around me. I stopped trying to please everyone else. And started tapping into what only I could see. I upgraded my thoughts. My habits. My routine. My beliefs. And even though I ended up having content that got millions of views… It did nothing compared to what I achieved as my Favourite-Self. Not only did the sales start rolling in (with even just a few hundred followers)… The quality of clients improved. Opportunities came from nowhere. Even setbacks felt like wins, because I knew it was pushing me somewhere better. Losing staff. Friends. Clients. Whilst it hurts at first. It turns out to be a blessing. Because it creates space. For new ideas. New connections. Better ones. Business and career success doesn’t come from ‘knowing things’. It comes from knowing yourself first. And knowing how to be your favourite self every single day. And it all started, with creating my personal values list… That was 5 years ago now. Apparently, I could now be eligible for the disability support payment. And yes, I have a huge amount of pain and barriers every single day because of my conditions. But instead of wasting time trying to get $$ off the government? I started a business so I can work from home when I need to and afford my own wellness room. I’ve been seeing a bit of content where people are sharing what “living with a disability looks like” and on further research, turns out we have similar conditions... This might trigger a lot of people and obviously if your in a fucking wheelchair or can’t see properly, or have a legitimate disability, or have never been given the tools to see another way forward, I’m not talking about that. But I am trying to prove a point to people that want to play the victim that you are not your diagnosis… get up. Get dressed. Get busy #disabilitysupport
