Paws for a minute to wish George a beary Happy 30th Birthday! 🎂🎉🥳 George’s keeper Kim made him a delicious ice cake filled with his favorite fruits, and some staff came out to sing him Happy Birthday. It was a paw-some celebration of a special bear! George is one of the oldest living bears in human care in North America at 30 years old.

A routine checkup for Fauna, our green anaconda, is a whole team effort! 💪🐍 It took 7 keepers and 3 vets to complete this checkup including blood draws, visual exams, and weight and length checks! Fauna is in great health- she weighed in at a whopping 52.5 pounds and is 11ft, 3in long. 😳 These routine wellness exams are an essential part of preventative care for all of our animals! They allow our veterinary team to monitor growth, track changes, catch any potential concerns early, and ensure that each animal is happy and healthy. 😤 The snow isn’t ready for this wild crew. Our plow team is gearing up for the upcoming ❄️ forecast with their choice of walk up songs. Did you know- our Zoo uses salt that is safe for plants and animals and sand on our wetlands trail so we don’t negatively impact the environment!
