التقويم الهجري عن مقال فريد قبطاني - رسالـة الإســلام الأصلية – الجزء الخامس » خلافا لما استقر عليه الأمر بعد عهد الرسول  ، ليست هجرته إلى المدينة المنورة (622) هي بداية التقويم الإسلامي ؛ فهذا التقويم يمكن أن يستنبط من القرآن  لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌ مِّنْ أَلْفِ شَهْر  ، أي مع بداية نزول الوحي (الآيات الخمس الأولى من سورة العلق) سنة 610. ورسالة الإسلام الأصلية تشمل كل مدة الوحي (610-632) بينما يفضل التيار التقليدي والمعتقدات المتوارثة التمسك بالتقويم الهجري والاعتماد عليه. يقرّ جميع المؤرخين المسلمين ، بما فيهم التقليديون أن التقويم الهجري تم إحداثه (638) بعد عهد الرسول . بينما يتحدث القرآن الكريم عن تاريخ ليلة نزول الوحي (610). فالحس السليم والمنطقي يقضي بأن يُحَدَّد التقويم ابتداء بأهم حدث في الإسلام أي نزول الوحي ؛ فالإسلام لم يبدأ مع الهجرة وإنما مع بداية نزول القرآن المجيد. إن تبنّي التقويم الهجري بعد عهد الرسول  له انعكاسات هائلة ذات طابع سياسي وديني وفقهي. فقد أتاح ولا يزال يتيح للتقليديين دعم عقائدهم زيفا وزورا إذ يفضلون الآيات المدنية (التي نزلت بعد الهجرة) على حساب الآيات المكية (التي نزلت قبل الهجرة). يقول الله تبارك وتعالى: "(...) أفتؤمنون ببعض الكتاب وتكفرون ببعض(...)" #فريد_قبطاني #رسالـة_الإســلام_الأصلية #التقويم_الهجري

عاشوراء ("رسالـة الإســلام الأصلية – الجزء الثالث" | عن مقال فريد قبطاني) ومن مظاهر هذه الخلافات بين المسلمين يوم عاشوراء ، وهو اليوم العاشر من أول شهر من السنة الهجرية. كيف يعقل يا ترى أن يكون هذا اليوم يوم بهجة وفرح ومرح للملايين من المسلمين في حين أنه يوم حزن وكرب وكآبة لملايين آخرين يصل بهم إلى ضرب الصدور ولطم الخدود. فالمؤرخون المسلمون يُجمعون على أن الحسين حفيد الرسول عليه السلام قُتل وقطع رأسه في يوم عاشوراء الموافق للعاشر من أكتوبر من سنة 680 ميلادية. فمن ذا الذي يطيب له من المسلمين أن يفرح بذلك اليوم ومن ذا الذي يطيب له تعذيب جسده حزنا على أي كان والإسلام ينهى عن ذلك مهما كان السبب. الأحرى أن يكون هذا اليوم مناسبة للتفكّر والتدبّر واستقراء الماضي والحاضر للاعتبار ولبناء مستقبل أفضل. #عاشوراء #فريد_قبطاني #رسالـة_الإســلام_الأصلية

Eid al adha - based on Pr Farid Gabteni's conference "The Original Message of Islam Part 5/5" "Outside of traditionalism, is there anything in the Qur’an which obliges Muslims to sacrifice animals, whatever the circumstance? Obviously not. The word ‘offering’/‘hadyu’/ هدي can take on a number of meanings, depending on the time, the place, the cause and the aim. This term is used in the Qur’an for the pilgrimage, whereas the word ‘throat-slitting’/‘dhabḥ’/ ذبح refers to the sacrifice of Abraham. The distinction is linguistically significant and far from being fortuitous. The difference between cutting the throat of an animal and offering a gift may be considerable. Consequently to what has been outlined, can the annual massacre of millions of animals at Eid be considered to be compatible, reconcilable and coherent with original Islam? A fundamental question worthy of meditation by anyone who fears God and believes in Him. As a reminder, tradition says that on his pilgrimage, the Prophet performed sacrifices – namely in quite specific circumstances – for his whole community. His gesture amounts to all the animal sacrifices performed since that time, and until the end of time. So, on the day of Eid, any Muslim may absolve themself through an offering, regardless of its nature, without necessarily resorting to cutting its throat. And the Qur’an attests to this in verse 37 of chapter 22: ”لَنْ يَنَالَ اللَّهَ لُحُومُهَا وَلَا دِمَاؤُهَا وَلَكِنْ يَنَالُهُ التَّقْوَى مِنْكُمْ كَذَلِكَ سَخَّرَهَا لَكُمْ لِتُكَبِّرُوا اللَّهَ عَلَى مَا هَدَاكُمْ وَبَشِّرِ الْمُحْسِنِينَ“ “Neither their flesh, nor their blood, ever reaches God. But what reaches Him is your piety. Thus, He Subjected it to you, that you may glorify God for that He has Guided you. And give good tidings to the doers of good” And in verse 38 of chapter 6, it says: ”وَمَا مِنْ دَابَّةٍ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا طَائِرٍ يَطِيرُ بِجَنَاحَيْهِ إِلَّا أُمَمٌ أَمْثَالُكُمْ …“ “And there is not a creature (animal) on earth, nor a flying creature flying with its wings, except [that they are] communities like you (…)” The true Muslim cannot hold in contempt, mistreat, degrade, or weaken any animal, or kill it without good reason, much less for pleasure. Even to feed himself, he cannot trivially kill an animal; he must consider this act in the Name of God as a sacrificial operation, that is, an extraordinary act performed in fear of God, Creator of Breath of all life." The Hijri calendar - "The Original Message of Islam Part 5/5" based on Pr Farid Gabteni's conference The Muslim calendar was begun on the 1st of Muḥarram (15 or 16 July 622), starting from the emigration (al-hijrah) of the Prophet, from Mecca to Medina. Unlike what was instituted after the Prophet, it is not his emigration to Medina (the Hijra, 622) which marks the beginning of the Muslim calendar. The latter can be inferred from the Qur’an (chapter 97), and it begins with the Quranic Revelation, in 610 (chapter 96). Original Islam covers the whole of Revelation (from 610 to 632), while ideological traditionalism likes to opt for and anchor itself in the Hijri calendar. All Muslim historians – traditionalists included – report that the Hijri calendar was adopted after the Prophet. The Qur’an, for its part, gives precedence to the date of Revelation, as it can be read in verse 3 of chapter 97: ”لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ“ “The night of decree is better than a thousand months” Common sense dictates that a calendar start from an initial event; it is obvious that Islam did not begin with the Hijra, but with the Quranic Revelation. Adoption, after the Prophet, of the Hijri calendar had sententious political, theological and jurisprudential impacts. Insinuately, it has allowed and still allows traditionalists to falsely substantiate their ideologies, exegetically focusing on the Medina period instead of, and at the expense of the Mecca period. Knowledge: - First Commandment of God in the Qur'an - Based on Pr Farid Gabteni's conference on the Original Message of Islam (Part 2) "Religion of the good and beautiful work, of the middle way, of moderation, Islam is the religion of science and the knowledge of God through His Creation. One of the elements, and not the least, that distinguishes the Qur’an from earlier revelations is its insistence on the notions of science and knowledge. By the way, the first word of the Revelation to Muhammad was: ‘Iqra’! (Read!)’, see verses 1 to 5 of chapter 96: ”اقْرَأْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ (١) خَلَقَ الْإِنْسَانَ مِنْ عَلَقٍ (٢) اقْرَأْ وَرَبُّكَ الْأَكْرَمُ (٣) الَّذِي عَلَّمَ بِالْقَلَمِ (٤) عَلَّمَ الْإِنْسَانَ مَا لَمْ يَعْلَمْ (٥)“ “Read in The Name of your Lord Who Created 1 Created man, out of a clot 2 Read! And your Lord Is The Most Generous 3 He Who Taught by the pen 4 Taught man that which he knew not 5” And precisely, as to the first man designated as human, it is Adam, and the first time he is mentioned in the Qur’an, it is said about him, in verse 31 of chapter 2: ” وَعَلَّمَ آدَمَ الْأَسْمَاءَ كُلَّهَا…“ “And He Taught Adam the names – all of them …” It is therefore clear that, in the Qur’an, the very beginnings of human being are linked to knowledge. The first thing that Adam, the first human, received from God is the knowledge of all the names, and the first order from God to Muhammad, seal of Prophets sealing the religion was: “Read! / ‘Iqra’!” God’s Message, order, to man, from the very beginning to Muhammad and beyond to the end of times, is: “Read”, learn, understand the creation of God, in order to know God and act accordingly; that is to say, act correctly and with kindness, for you will be judged. Without a doubt. And the Day of the Resurrection, in verse 27 of chapter 16, it says: ”…قَالَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْعِلْمَ إِنَّ الْخِزْيَ الْيَوْمَ وَالسُّوءَ عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ“ “… Those who have been Given knowledge will say: “Disgrace this day and evil are upon the disbelievers”” And in verse 56 of chapter 30, it says: ”وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْعِلْمَ وَالْإِيمَانَ لَقَدْ لَبِثْتُمْ فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْبَعْثِ فَهَذَا يَوْمُ الْبَعْثِ وَلَكِنَّكُمْ كُنْتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ“ “But those who were given knowledge and faith will say, ‘You remained the extent of God’s decree until the Day of Resurrection, and this is the Day of Resurrection, but you did not know’” This shows us to what extent knowledge constitutes God’s first commandment in the Qur’an, and thus in Islam." Σāshūrā’ - From "The Original Message of Islam - Part 3/5" based on Pr Farid Gabteni's conference "Σāshūrā’ / عاشوراء is an example of dissension among Muslims: the tenth day of the first month of the Hegira year, a celebration for some, during which one rejoices; it is a period of mourning for others, during which people flagellate themselves. It should be neither a festivity nor a mortification by flagellation. Muslim historians, without exception, tell that the last and beloved grandson of the Prophet, Al-Ḥussayn, was killed and beheaded by so-called Muslims on the day of Σāshūrā’, corresponding to 10 October, 680 AD. Who can thus claim Muhammad’s community and rejoice on that day? How can one also allow mortification by flagellation while Islam entirely rejects this process? In Arabic, link between the words "world" and "scholar" | Based on Pr Farid Gabteni's conference "In Arabic, the words “world” and “scholar” /عالم وعالم / “Σālam” and “Σālim” have the same root (Σ-L-M / ع ل م), from which the word “Σilm” / علم is first derived, meaning “science, knowledge, understanding”. The world is closely linked to knowledge, to the objective understanding we have of it; it only exists through this primordial information. The real world can only be understood through scientific knowledge – any way-out is subjective; this results in myths and legends, synonyms of fetishism and superstition. It was in this way that, apart from a few exceptions, the Ancients speculatively devised fabulous and imaginary worlds in the past, with no true scientific basis. Nevertheless, they had this specifically intelligent awareness that the world has a meaning and a “raison d’être”. This intellect awareness was amplified by an innate and acquired level of self-awareness and of the outside world. This level of awareness is unique to humans, at least to our knowledge. And to be a true witness, to be able to attest to truth and reality, you must possess a knowledge, an understanding of the facts and things. Once this knowledge is acquired, we then attain faith by reason and heart, we become humble in the Peace and Love of God. We know from where we have come and where we are going, we act with benevolence and beneficence; we distinguish good from evil, truth from falsehood. The Muslim who knows, is a being of Peace, tolerant, good, benevolent and beneficent. He believes in the Unique God without associate, in the God of Israel, of Christ, of Muhammad, in the God of all men without distinction, in the God of the skies, the earth and what is between them, in the God of those who live in the skies and on earth. And certainly, if the Creance, the Religion, with God is Islam, He Brings up to whom He Wants and He Forgives to whom He Wants. So not one excluded, and all His creatures enter His Mercy. And I say that this is not a point of detail.
