To rule territory, armies, taxes, courts, and elections, Rome needed something the stars could not provide reliably enough for bureaucracy: 👉 authority. The Earth’s light–dark cycle is created by Earth’s rotation and is the oldest rhythm life has ever known. All living beings evolved to use light as information to know when to wake, eat, move, rest, repair, bloom, migrate, and sing. Your nervous system is wired directly to the same time rhythm of nature, not to clocks. When you live aligned with nature, your body knows what time it is. When you live against it, the nervous system stays stressed and out of rhythm.
